About Raphael Githinji Nyawira's work:
Photo Theme:
Luxury Meets Everyday Hustle
Photo Story:
This photo captures the contrast between luxury and everyday urban life in Kenya. The white Mercedes-Benz stands boldly in the middle of a busy street surrounded by matatus, motorcycles, and local businesses. I was inspired by how high-end machines can exist within ordinary, hardworking environments.

What makes this image more special is that it was shot using a Samsung A03s smartphone. It shows that powerful storytelling in photography is not about expensive equipment, but about vision, timing, and perspective. The image represents ambition, progress, and the dream of rising above circumstances while staying grounded in real life
How long has Raphael Githinji Nyawira loved photography:
I have loved photography since my childhood.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I discovered my passion for photography when I started noticing how powerful a single image can be in telling a story. I enjoy capturing cars and urban environments because they reflect lifestyle, ambition, and personality. Over time, I began practicing more, learning about angles, lighting, and composition, and my love for photography continued to grow
